A warm family breakfast

Heart@Home Fluffy Pancakes

A generous batch of soft vanilla pancakes for slow mornings, busy mornings, and the people gathered around your table. Makes about 12 nice-sized pancakes, or more when using less batter for each one.

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, and the optional cinnamon and nutmeg.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently just until combined. A few small lumps are perfectly fine.
  4. Heat a lightly greased skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  5. Pour the batter onto the warm pan in your preferred pancake size.
  6. Cook until bubbles begin forming on the surface and the edges look set.
  7. Flip gently and cook the second side until golden brown. Serve warm with butter and your favorite syrup or honey.

“A warm breakfast does not have to be complicated to make the morning feel cared for.”
