A simple pantry staple
Homemade Light Brown Sugar
Two ingredients, one spoon, and a few quiet minutes make approximately 2 cups.
Method
- Place the sugar in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the molasses.
- Use a sturdy spoon to press and stir the molasses into the sugar. Break apart the darker clumps as you work.
- Continue mixing until the color looks even and the sugar feels soft and fluffy.
- Transfer the brown sugar to an airtight container and store it in a cool, dry pantry.
